California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation Dinner

On Sept. 29, I attended the California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation’s annual recognition dinner, Luchando Por Justicia. The Executive Director of CRLAF is our own Professor Amagda Pérez ‘91, who is also co-director of the Immigration Law Clinic. A group of wonderful law students joined me at the dinner. It was a grand event at the California Museum in Sacramento. Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero presented a thoughtful keynote address and CRLAF honored Deborah Escobedo and Councilmember Eric Guerra.

I was pleased to see a picture of the late Justice Cruz Reynoso in the program. Cruz was a supporter of CRLAF and its work. The law school's Multimedia Specialist Jose Perez took the photo and attended the dinner. It was a celebratory night!
