National Hispanic American Heritage Month
The Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies recognizes that September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic American Heritage Month. The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution, and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum all pay tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society. The National Hispanic American Heritage Month website reminds us of some of the contributions, including military service, fighting for civil rights, low rider culture, and much more.
The Aoki Center acknowledges the many contributions of Latina/o faculty, staff, and students to the UC Davis School of Law community. The Latinx Law Students Association has always been a bedrock of that community. Thank you all.
