286C Bioethics (2)

Discussion - 2 hours.  This course examines the ethical, legal, and social issues that arise from research on and use of biomedical technologies. The curriculum may include issues arising from human subject research, end-of-life care, assisted reproductive technologies, genetic and regenerative medicine research, human cell and tissue use, and emerging biotechnologies. Completion of the course requires a research paper. There is no final exam.

Graduation Requirements: Satisfies Advanced Writing Requirement.
Class limit: 15 students.
