Bio

Ms. Bandyopadhyay is currently a partner at the intellectual property law firm Fish & Richardson, and has been practicing intellectual property litigation and counseling in the Bay Area for two decades. Her trade secret cases have been in state and federal courts throughout the country. She has previously held leadership positions at Winston & Strawn LLP, Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and Perkins Coie LLP, and served as a Litigation Associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC. Bandyopadhyay frequently publishes articles and speaks on issues pertaining to trade secrets. She is regularly invited to serve as a guest speaker and lecturer at University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Bandyopadhyay is widely acknowledged as a woman trailblazer in law. The Silicon Valley Business Journal named her a 2018 “Woman of Influence,” She has been recognized by Super Lawyers® every year since 2008, and repeatedly by Best Lawyers® in the fields of patent litigation and trade secrets. She serves on the Boards of Legal Momentum® (which named her a Woman of Achievement in 2018) and World Arts West, a non-profit devoted to diversity in the arts. Bandyopadhya received her B.A. Magna Cum Laude in Economics with Highest Distinction from the University of California, San Diego in 1996 and her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2000.
