Our Firm has been a member of the Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity since its inception in 2009 and is deeply committed to advancing diversity in the legal profession. 

We are pleased to present the Corebridge Financial Summer Associate Program. Envisioned as an enhancement to the Baker Donelson Summer Associate Program, Corebridge Financial Legal Department will host one student from within our first-year 2024 Summer Associate class. Under this Program, the Summer Associate will work with and be mentored by experienced attorneys within the Corebridge Financial Legal Department for four weeks. This Program will provide the Summer Associate with an opportunity to practice in-house and learn how the Corebridge team advises on all aspects of its business. By incorporating in-house work during the summer associate experience, the Program will be of tremendous value to the Summer Associate.

Recipients will be eligible for a salaried 1L Summer Associate position in our Houston office. The dates of our Summer Associate Program are May 20 – June 28. The Recipient will then be assigned to work at Corebridge Financial July 1 – July 26. The application process is open to all law students enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school of any race, color, religion, citizenship, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, military service, disability, or any other characteristic or condition protected by applicable law.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Good standing as a first-year law student at an ABA accredited law school.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in their communities and/or in the legal profession.
  • Life experiences that have shaped values (including a commitment to DEI) and professional goals.
  • Demonstrated record of academic and leadership achievements, and community involvement.
  • U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the United States.
