Welcome to Librarians Elisa Rodrigues & Refugio Acker-Ramirez
We are pleased to welcome two librarians to the law library.
Elisa Rodrigues, Collections and Metadata Librarian, received her BA from UC Davis in English – Critical Theory and Analysis and MLIS from the University of Washington, Seattle. She has worked in libraries around the San Francisco Bay Area since 2007 and returns to Davis from the University of San Francisco, where she worked on accessibility, privacy, and knowledge management at the Gleeson Library. Her research focuses on library technology policies and practices and their impact on marginalized communities.
Refugio Acker-Ramirez, Research Librarian, joined the reference team January 3rd and is providing research services to King Hall students, faculty, and other patrons. Refugio comes to UC Davis from the law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, where he served as a lead Research Specialist for the litigation and labor/employment practice groups. He obtained his MLIS from the University of California, Los Angeles and a BA in sociology and ethnic studies from the University of San Diego.
