Webinar teaches best practices for supervisors of telecommuting externs

In a statewide initiative led by UC Davis Law’s Dena Bauman and other California externship directors, more than 700 attorneys who supervise law students in externships participated in a webinar held May 1 and again on May 5.

The webinar focuses on best practices in “remote” (telecommuting) externships. The presentations included how to best to orient externs, establish good communication, and use technology to review assignments, along with creative ways to build professional relationships through networking and social activities.
