Water Justice Clinic Director Pannu speaks at Water Education Foundation Summit
On Sept. 20, Water Justice Clinic Director Camille Pannu participated on the panel “Making the Human Right to Water a Reality – Tools for Change,” at the Water Education Foundation’s annual summit in Sacramento.
Pannu’s fellow panelists were Karla Nemeth, director of the California Department of Water Resources; Joaquin Esquivel, a member of the State Water Resources Control Board; and Denise England, the Water Resources Program director for Tulare County.
The Water Justice Clinic partners with stakeholders to improve the sustainability of rural water systems; advocate for the inclusion of rural and low-income communities in water management decisions; and ensure that all Californians have access to safe, clean and affordable drinking water.
