Water Justice Clinic Director Pannu presents at Columbia environmental law clinic conference

At the Columbia Law School Environmental Law Clinic Conference, UC Davis Law Water Justice Clinic Director Camille Pannu co-presented on utilizing transactional law as a tool for environmental justice advocacy. Pannu's co-panelist was Mindy Goldstein, clinical professor of law and director of the Turner Environmental Law Clinic at Emory Law School.

The conference hosted more than 40 environmental law clinic directors on Nov. 9 and 10. Panel discussions covered topics including climate change, the nexus between civil rights and environmental laws, interdisciplinary environmental clinics, and transactional projects in environmental clinics.  

The Water Justice Clinic partners with stakeholders to improve the sustainability of rural water systems; advocate for the inclusion of rural and low-income communities in water management decisions; and ensure all Californians have access to safe, clean and affordable drinking water.
