Volunteering at Fourth & Hope Shelter

Fourth and Hope

One of the very valuable community service activities of the Schwartz/Levi Inn of Court is the preparation of dinner for the Fourth & Hope shelter in Woodland. Once a month, a group of Inn members buy and prepare dinner at the shelter. Healthy meals, including salads and fruit, are placed in containers for serving. I have been participating in this service activity on Sunday afternoon for the last several months. It’s a great group of people giving back to the community.

Fourth and Hope

One of my colleagues at the Inn of Court had this to say:

"Yesterday, I had the good fortune of joining Commissioner Kay Hohenwarter, Dean Kevin Johnson, Michelle Beckwith, and Corey Day at Fourth & Hope for another excellent (and efficient) community service effort. Approximately 100 of Fourth & Hope’s clientele received a scrumptious dinner of roasted chicken, green salad, grapes, apples, Hawaiian rolls, and chocolate chip cookies. Thanks so much to everyone who assembled the dinners and donated items!"
