USA Today and Irish Echo Quotes Dean Designate Johnson on Immigration

Dean Designate Kevin Johnson was quoted in an article in USA Today about the increasing number of U.S. citizens and legal residents who work alongside undocumented workers who are being detained and interrogated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). In the article, Johnson points out that workers caught in immigration raids often do not realize that they have no obligation to respond to questions posed by ICE agents, regardless of their citizenship status. Johnson is a noted international expert on immigration, race, and civil rights law. His latest book, Opening the Floodgates: Why America Needs to Rethink Its Borders and Immigration Laws, was published by NYU Press in 2007.
