Upcoming Events: Your Chance to Connect with Today's King Hall Students!
Remember the excitement you felt as a law student about the prospect of meeting with UC Davis School of Law alumni practicing in your field of interest? Today's students are just as eager to meet you and other King Hall graduates working as attorneys, judges, and legal professionals, and two upcoming events offer excellent opportunities to share your experience and expertise while you forge a connection with today's students: the Mock Interview program to be held at the Buehler Alumni Center on January 26-27, and the Public Interest Mixer at Sudwerk Brewery and Restaurant in Davis on February 4.
King Hall students frequently ask for opportunities to meet and interact with alumni working in their fields, and the Law School depends upon its loyal alums to help make events such as the Mock Interview program and the Public Interest Mixer successful. By attending either or both of these events, you are giving back to King Hall and making a difference for our students. Get involved, and show your support!
Mock Interview Program
January 26-27, 6:00-8:00 PM
Buehler Alumni Center, UC Davis campus
The Mock Interview program is one of the most popular alumni-student events of the year, particularly for first-year students. It has grown steadily each year and provides students the opportunity to practice their interview skills and receive constructive feedback, helping them to gain an edge in an increasingly challenging job market.
Alumni volunteers conduct a 20 minute mock interview with four students in one evening. Each mock interview is followed by five to 10 minutes of constructive feedback on the student's interviewing style. Volunteers for one or both evenings are welcome, and Career Services is seeking alumni from various backgrounds in order to match students to their market of interest and enable the most realistic interview setting.

2nd Annual Public Interest Mixer

Please join King Hall's public defenders, legal aid attorneys, and other public interest alumni for this year's Public Interest Mixer. This annual event was created to provide a specific opportunity for Law School alumni who work in Public Interest-related fields to come together with current students to share their knowledge and experiences in the field of Public Interest Law. The event is an important networking opportunity for current students and alumni alike. Appetizers will be provided. Beverages may be purchased on an individual basis.
