UC Davis Law to Host Third Appellate District Oral Argument

On Monday, Oct. 16, the Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District, will hear oral argument at UC Davis School of Law. The session will be held in the Kalmanovitz Appellate Courtroom at Martin Luther King Jr. Hall.

UC Davis Law students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to attend. All interested members of the public, attorneys, and judges are also welcome. Attendees will be required to go through security screening so an early arrival is advisable. Doors will open at 9 a.m. and Dean Kevin R. Johnson will deliver welcoming remarks right before the session begins at 10 a.m.

Two cases will be heard between 10-11 a.m. – Vorobey v. Gerolamy and Boitez v. Superior Court of Yolo County.

The justices participating are Presiding Justice Laurie M. Earl and Justices Ronald B. Robie, Elena J. Duarte, Jonathan Renner, Peter Krause, and Stacy E. Boulware Eurie ‘95.

A question-and-answer session with the justices will take place after oral arguments and conclude at 11:35 a.m.

No electronic devices, including cell phones, are allowed in the courtroom. Backpacks or large bags, food and drinks are not permitted. Appropriate clothing is required including no tank tops, shorts or hats.
