UC Davis Law Breaks Give Day Records

The King Hall community provided outstanding support this year for Give Day. With 221 gifts, the fundraising event raised a record-breaking $152,000.

A highlight this year was a gift from UC Davis Law Professor Emeritus Floyd Shimomura ’73. He gave $50,000 to support the UC Davis Law Review, the largest Give Day challenge gift since the fundraising event started in 2017.

In addition, the following King Hall alumni provided 10 challenge gifts to increase the impact of donation dollars:

The law school also stood out on campus in the “Battle of the Schools,” coming in second place for number of gifts behind the School of Veterinary Medicine.

UC Davis Law's Give Day efforts were led by Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations Karen Charney, Associate Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations Casey Becker and Associate Director of Development Taylor Theg.
