UC Davis Bar results exceed state averages

UC Davis School of Law’s class of 2018 posted a 75.6 percent passage rate for the July 2018 California Bar Exam. The average pass rate for the state’s ABA-approved law schools was 64 percent. The overall California passage rate for the July 2018 exam was 40.7 percent.

King Hall consistently outperforms the average pass rate for the state’s ABA-approved law schools.

“We strive to provide the necessary support for our excellent students to pass the bar exam and successfully begin their careers as lawyers,” Dean Kevin R. Johnson said.

In addition to an outstanding teaching faculty, the law school’s Academic Success Program helps graduates pass the bar. It provides bar preparation workshops and courses for second- and third-year students, and a comprehensive post-graduation summer program that includes workshops, individual tutoring, and essay grading. More than 95 percent of UC Davis graduates pass the first or second time.
