Students United for Reform and Justice Receives Award
The UC Davis School of Law student organization Students United for Reform and Justice was honored as "Vanguard Organization of the Year" at the Davis Vanguard's Award Ceremony on July 26. Formed to "collectively recognize and respond to the massive injustices that persist in the American criminal justice system," SURJ was recognized for activities including organizing a campus speaking engagement by exonerated former death row inmates John Thompson and Don Diolosa.
