Senior Associate Dean Shestowsky Delivers Endowed Lecture at UNLV

On March 27, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Donna Shestowsky delivered the endowed Beecroft Lecture at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas William S. Boyd School of Law.

Shestowsky’s talk, “Top Five Tips for Lawyers for Effective ADR Client Counseling,” explored the often overlooked yet essential topic of how lawyers can counsel their clients effectively on alternative dispute resolution (ADR) options.

Donna Shestowsky is Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Martin Luther King Jr. Professor of Law at UC Davis School of Law. She holds both a law degree and a Ph.D. in psychology and is a faculty member of the Graduate Group in Psychology at UC Davis.  Her main research objective is to examine basic assumptions underlying the structure of the legal system and to explore ways in which the legal system might be improved using the methodological and analytic tools of psychological theory and research.
