Senior Associate Dean Afsharipour Presents at Comparative Law Society Meeting

On Oct. 21, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Afra Afsharipour presented a chapter from the 2021 book Comparative Corporate Governance at the American Society of Comparative Law annual meeting.

The chapter, titled “Corporate governance in negotiated takeovers: the changing comparative landscape,” is one of two Afsharipour wrote for the book, which she co-edited with Martin Gelter.

On Tuesday, Nov. 9, Afsharipour will discuss key takeaways from the book at the UC Davis Law event “Current Debates in Comparative Corporate Governance.”

Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor Afra Afsharipour’s areas of research include comparative corporate law and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and transactional law.  Her scholarship has appeared in numerous law reviews, including the Columbia Law Review, the Minnesota Law Review, the Vanderbilt Law Review, and the UC Davis Law Review.
