Sacramento Bee Quotes Feeney on Criminal Justice Matter

The Sacramento Bee quoted Floyd Feeney, a criminal law professor, on the term "person of interest" that has become a familiar part of the law enforcement lexicon.

Feeney said the "broad and somewhat ambiguous term" may help authorities feel like they are more in control of the situation. However, critics say it's a nebulous euphemism for 'suspect' that can tarnish a person's name.
