Reynoso Receives MALDEF Achievement Award -- and Many More Honors
Professor of Law Emeritus Cruz Reynoso was honored by the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) with the Valerie Kantor Award for Extraordinary Achievement at MALDEF's 33rd Annual Los Angeles Awards Gala held October 30, 2007 at the Century Plaza Hyatt Regency in Los Angeles.
The Valerie Kantor Award is presented to former members of MALDEF's Board of Directors who have distinguished themselves in terms of their contribution to MALDEF.
MALDEF is the leading nonprofit Latino litigation, advocacy, and educational outreach institution in the United States. MALDEF's mission is to foster sound public policies, laws, and programs to safeguard the civil rights of the 40 million Latinos living in the United States and to empower the Latino community to participate fully in our society.
