Record number of teams compete in 12th Annual Intraschool Negotiation Competition
This past Saturday, the KHNT hosted its 12th Annual Intraschool Negotiation Competition at the UC Davis School of Law. A record-breaking number of teams participated in this year’s competition.
We would like to congratulate the finalists and winners, all of whom are 1Ls. The finalists included: Alex Taylor, Aileen Chong, Matthew Javier and Philip Julius. The winners were: Allie Anderson, Lauren Ball, Corrina Seeley-VanDenBaard, and Brienna Cowan.
Each year, the Intraschool Competition provides law students at UC Davis with the opportunity to explore and develop their negotiation skills. Teams of two receive problems that include general facts and confidential facts. This year’s topics included entertainment and sports team contract negotiations. The problems are authored by members of the KHNT.
The team is thankful to all who made this year’s Intraschool Competition successful, especially the practitioner judges who devoted their time and energy to giving excellent feedback to our competitors. A special thanks to KHNT President Ian Midiere (3L) and Internal Competition Chairs Kiana Caton (2L) and Christine Guerrazzi (2L) for organizing the competition. KHNT is also grateful for the generous financial support it receives from the Dean’s Office, and the assistance of its faculty adviser, Professor Donna Shestowsky.
