Reclaiming Abandoned DNA: Genetics, Privacy, and Policing

Elizabeth Joh, Acting Professor of Law, will speak at The Center for the Study of Law and Society at UC Berkeley on October 9, 2006, as part of the Center's noontime lunch series. Her talk is titled, "Reclaiming Abandoned DNA: Genetics, Privacy, and Policing." Joh's research focuses on criminal law and procedure. She has special interests in the fields of policing, criminal justice privatization, and the sociology of law. She received both her Ph.D. in Law and Society and J.D. from New York University.

The Center for the Study of Law and Society fosters empirical research and theoretical analysis concerning legal institutions, legal processes, legal change, and the social consequences of law.
