Professors Horton and Chandrasekher present Robert I. Weil Lecture at Western Justice Center

Professors David Horton and Andrea Cann Chandrasekher were panelists for the 13th annual Robert I. Weil Lecture on Jan. 28 at the Western Justice Center. The discussion, “Repeat Players in Arbitration – Perception vs. Reality,” was moderated by University of Kansas School of Law Professor Christopher R. Drahozal.

Professors Horton and Chandrasekher are authors of Arbitration Nation: Data from Four Providers.

Professor Horton joined the King Hall faculty in 2012.  His primary research and teaching interests are wills and trusts, contracts, and arbitration law.  In 2015, his article "In Partial Defense of Probate: Evidence from Alameda County, California" was selected as the winner of the 29th annual Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Scholarly Paper Competition and he was honored with UC Davis School of Law’s Distinguished Teaching Award.

Professor Chandrasekher's educational background includes a JD from Stanford Law School and a PhD in Economics from UC Berkeley. She has taught as a visiting assistant professor at Northwestern School of Law and served as a fellow at Stanford Law School. Her research interests include criminal law, law and economics, quantitative methods, criminal justice public policy analysis, and policing.
