Professor West Speaks at Women's Suffrage Centennial Celebration

Professor Martha S. West spoke at the California Women's Suffrage Centennial Celebration hosted by the Center for California Studies and the Department of Women's Studies at Sacramento State on October 11.  Professor West was part of a panel that included Dr. Boatamo Mosupyoe, Professor and Director of Pan African Studies and Director of the Cooper-Woodson College Enhancement Program at Sacramento State; Dr. Soheir Stolba, Professor of Anthropology, American River College and Director of the SHARE Institute; and Crystal Strait Chief of Staff to Assembly Member Richard Pan.  Professor West provided an overview of women's legal rights in U.S. history.

Professor Emerita West taught courses on Employment Discrimination, Labor Law, and Sex-based Discrimination at UC Davis School of Law. Her research has focused on discrimination against women faculty in higher education.
