Professor Villazor Speaks on Immigration for C-SPAN Broadcast

On October 26, Professor Rose Cuison Villazor participated on a panel on the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 that was sponsored by the American Constitution Society and broadcast on C-SPAN. Professor Villazor spoke at length on the history, intent, and impacts of the Act, drawing extensively from perspectives and information in the new book, The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965: Legislating a New America, which she co-edited with Professor Gabriel "Jack" Chin and to which Dean Kevin R. Johnson and Professors Cruz Reynoso, Bill Ong Hing, Brian Soucek, and Leticia Saucedo are contributors. Video of the broadcast is available from the C-SPAN website via the link below.

Professor Rose Cuison Villazor joined the UC Davis faculty in 2012 from the Maurice A. Deane Law School at Hofstra University.  She has also taught at Columbia Law School and the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.  Professor Villazor teaches and writes in the areas of property law, immigration law, race, and citizenship.
