Professor Villazor Presents at Columbia Law School

On October 24, Professor Rose Cuison Villazor presented her paper, "Private Sponsorship of Refugees," at Columbia Law School. This new project explores the ways in which individuals, groups, churches, organizations, and companies may privately sponsor refugees to gain admission to the United States. The last time the United States had such a program was in the 1980s under President Ronald Reagan.

Professor Rose Cuison Villazor joined the UC Davis faculty in 2012 from the Maurice A. Deane Law School at Hofstra University.  She has also taught at Columbia Law School and the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.  Professor Villazor teaches and writes in the areas of property law, immigration law, race, and citizenship.
