Professor Soucek assesses Supreme Court's past term at Fresno event
On Sept. 26, the San Joaquin Valley chapter of the Federal Bar Association held its annual “Supreme Court Year in Review” event with Professor Brian Soucek. It was the fifth year of the event.
Soucek also weighed in on the 2018 Supreme Court cases in July at a Sacramento “year in review” event with McGeorge Professor Clark Kelso.
Professor Soucek’s primary teaching and research interests are antidiscrimination law, civil procedure, constitutional law, and refugee/asylum law. He holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a Ph.D. from Columbia University. He has clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Mark R. Kravitz in Connecticut, and Judge Guido Calabresi of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
