Professor Simmons Comments on UC Tuition for LA Times

Professor Daniel L. Simmons commented for the Los Angeles Times on proposals to allow undergraduate tuition in the University of California to vary by campus. Varying fees would result in "separate campuses competing with each other and ultimately that competition would be destructive," Professor Simmons said.

Daniel L. Simmons is a UC Davis Professor of Law and a national expert on tax law, with an emphasis on corporate and partnership taxation.  He is also vice chairman of the UC Academic Senate.
