Professor Shestowsky's Research Featured in Alternatives to the High Cost of Litigation

A presentation by Professor Donna Shestowsky at the American Bar Association's Section of Dispute Resolution annual meeting last month was highlighted in an article in Alternatives to the High Cost of Litigation, the monthly publication of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR). In her presentation, Professor Shestowsky discussed her large-scale empirical research reported in "The Psychology of Procedural Preference: How Litigants Evaluate Legal Procedures Ex Ante," which revealed how litigants evaluate trials and other dispute resolution options.

Donna Shestowsky, who has both a law degree and a PhD in Psychology, is a Professor of Law and Martin Luther King, Jr. Research Scholar at UC Davis School of Law, where she teaches Criminal Law, Negotiation Strategy, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and a seminar in Legal Psychology.  She was the 2007 recipient of the Law School's Distinguished Teaching Award.
