Professor Shestowsky Speaks at American Bar Association Dispute Resolution Conference

Professor Donna Shestowsky spoke at the 18th Annual Spring Conference of the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution held April 7-9 in New York City.

Professor Shestowsky participated in a panel discussion of "What Does Recent Research Tell Us about Court ADR?" in which she presented her research on how litigants evaluate and compare legal procedures. She also presented a workshop on how to conduct empirical research, in which she focused on how to design studies, collect data, and assemble a research team.

Donna Shestowsky, who has both a law degree and a PhD in Psychology, is a Professor of Law and Martin Luther King, Jr. Research Scholar at UC Davis School of Law, where she teaches Criminal Law, Negotiation Strategy, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and a seminar in Legal Psychology.  She was the 2007 recipient of the Law School's Distinguished Teaching Award.
