Professor Shanske, other tax law scholars address states' fiscal crises with new project

Professor Darien Shanske is collaborating with other tax law professors from around the country on Project SAFE (State Action in Fiscal Emergencies). The project is an effort by academics and their students to help mitigate the fiscal damage to states caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The participants will provide policy recommendations backed by research.

Darien Shanske is a professor of law at UC Davis. His academic interests include taxation, particularly state and local taxation, local government law, public finance, and political theory, particularly jurisprudence.
