Professor Shanske Honored in Bacon Public Lectureship and White Paper Competition
A proposal by Professor Darien Shanske and UC Berkeley Law Professor David Gamage was selected for Honorable Mention for the 2015-16 Bacon Lectureship and White Paper Competition hosted by the University of California Center Sacramento.
In recognition of the proposal, "Improving California's Tax System through Increasing the Diversity and Complementarity of its Revenue Streams," Professors Shanske and Gamage will receive a $1,000 research award as well as the opportunity to deliver a special lecture at the Center in 2016.
Darien Shanske is a Professor of Law at UC Davis. His academic interests include taxation, particularly state and local taxation, local government law, public finance, and political theory, particularly jurisprudence.
