Professor Shanske addresses budgets and shortfalls for Municipal Law Institute Symposium

Professor Darien Shanske served as a panelist for a discussion of “Fiscal Impacts and Shortfalls in Local Budgets” during the recent Municipal Law Institute Symposium. “Converging Emergencies: Applying Lessons Learned for the Municipal Practitioner” was the focus for the daylong event, presented in part by the League of California Cities.

Darien Shanske is a professor of law at UC Davis. His academic interests include taxation, particularly state and local taxation, local government law, public finance, and political theory, particularly jurisprudence.
