Professor Saucedo Appointed to ABA Working Group on Unaccompanied Minor Immigrants
Professor Leticia Saucedo has been appointed as a member of the American Bar Association's Unaccompanied Minor Immigrants Working Group. The group was organized in response to the crisis presented by the mass detention of unaccompanied immigrant children in the Southwest. It is tasked with developing an immediate response to the need for trained lawyers to take on these immigration cases on a pro bono basis, as well as a collaborative and effective plan for how the ABA can contribute to coordination of the efforts among the various entities already committed to this issue and developing new service opportunities and resources as needed.
Leticia Saucedo is a Professor of Law and Director of Clinical Legal Education at UC Davis School of Law, and an expert in employment, labor, and immigration law.
