Professor Sarkar presents at Stanford Law Review Immigration Symposium

Professor Shayak Sarkar presented his essay “Crediting Immigrants” at the Stanford Law Review Immigration Symposium on Feb. 25.

The essay explores proposed changes to immigration law’s affidavits of support and public charge bonds, and how these financial instruments may become a site of immigration federalism.

Professor Sarkar’s scholarship addressed the structure and legal regulation of inequality. His substantive interests lie in financial regulation, employment law, immigration and taxation.
