Professor Sarkar to discuss effect of financial law on immigration

Professor Shayak Sarkar will discuss how financial laws affect immigrants in a UC Davis Migration Cluster presentation at noon on Thursday, May 31 in the Andrews Conference Room (room 2203) in the Social Sciences and Humanities Building.

Sarkar's “Financial Immigration Enforcement” presentation will cover financial laws' impact on authorized and unauthorized immigrants, citizens and non-migrant foreigners.

Shayak Sarkar's scholarship addresses the structure and legal regulation of inequality. His substantive interests lie in financial regulation, employment law, immigration, and taxation.
