Professor Pruitt delivers keynote address at Maine Law symposium

Professor Lisa Pruitt delivered the keynote address, “On Valuing Rural,” at the Ensuring Equal Access to Justice in Maine’s Rural Communities Symposium on April 26 in Waterville. The event was co-presented by Colby College and University of Maine Law School. Pruitt also participated in a panel on rural access to justice.

Lisa R. Pruitt, Martin Luther King, Jr. professor at UC Davis School of Law, is a scholar whose recent work explores the legal relevance of rural spatiality, including how it inflects dimensions of gender, race, and ethnicity. Pruitt's work also considers rural-urban difference in transnational and international contexts.
