Professor Patel quoted by Politico, Forbes on Facebook antitrust litigation
Professor Menesh Patel recently was quoted extensively by Politico on the Federal Trade Commission’s antitrust suit against Facebook. Through that groundbreaking litigation, the FTC seeks the breakup of Facebook by requiring the technology giant to unwind its acquisitions of Instagram and WhatsApp. This issue is addressed in Patel’s recent paper, "Merger Breakups," forthcoming in the Wisconsin Law Review.
Separately, Patel and a group of other antitrust experts were interviewed by Forbes about the FTC-Facebook antitrust litigation.
Professor Menesh Patel joined the UC Davis faculty in 2018. His primary research interests include antitrust, corporate law, securities regulation, and capital markets. Prior to UC Davis, he was a fellow at Columbia Law School and Columbia Business School and practiced law at Sidley Austin LLP.
