Professor Lin, Water Justice Clinic Director Pannu picked as Muir Institute Fellows

The John Muir Institute of the Environment at UC Davis has selected Professor Albert Lin and Water Justice Clinic Director Camille Pannu as 2018 Muir Institute Fellows.

The mission of the Muir Institute, named for the pioneering preservationist and author, is to discover, research and solve pressing environmental and human health challenges.

Albert Lin is a professor at UC Davis School of Law with special interests in environmental law, natural resources law, and evidence. One recent focus of his research is solar geoengineering — techniques that have been proposed as potential means to block a portion of the sun’s radiation in order to mitigate global warming.

Camille Pannu directs the Water Justice Clinic, a project of the Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies. The Water Justice Clinic partners with stakeholders to improve the sustainability of rural water systems; advocate for the inclusion of rural and low-income communities in water management decisions; and ensure that all Californians have access to safe, clean and affordable drinking water.
