Professor Lin to Speak on Geo-Engineering at SF Commonwealth Club
Professor Albert Lin will speak on "Geo-Engineering: Global Salvation or Ruin?" at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco as part of a panel discussion sponsored by Climate One, an organization formed to foster dialogue on climate change issues. The panel, which will also feature Ken Caldeira, a Professor of Global Ecology at Stanford University, and David Whelan, Chief Scientist at Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, will explore technical, legal, and ethical issues related to plans for "geo-engineering" changes to the Earth's climate. The discussion will take place February 23.
Al Lin is a professor in the UC Davis School of Law with special interests in environmental law, natural resources law, and evidence.
