Professor Lee Speaks to Intellectual Property Law Section of State Bar of California

Professor Peter Lee recently spoke to the Licensing Interest Group of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of California. Professor Lee spoke about humanitarian and research access provisions in academic technology transfer licenses. In such provisions, universities retain the right to use patented technologies for humanitarian and research purposes when licensing those technologies to companies for commercialization. John Pavolotsky  ’00, who serves as Senior Counsel at Intel Corporation, invited Professor Lee to speak and coordinated the presentation.

Professor Lee's scholarly work addresses the intersection of science and society, particularly exploring the patent system's impact on scientific and technological progress.
