Professor Lee Speaks at Georgetown-University of Hong Kong Conference on Patents and COVID-19

Professor Peter Lee recently spoke at an international conference co-hosted by Georgetown University Law Center and the University of Hong Kong on “Intellectual Property, COVID-19, and the Next Pandemic: Diagnosing Problems, Developing Cures.” Professor Lee explored whether biopharmaceutical companies with patents on COVID-19 vaccines had satisfied the disclosure requirements of patent law. He also suggested modifying patent law and leveraging public research funding to require greater technical disclosure on the part of private innovators.
