Professor Joslin Submits Testimony Supporting Massachusetts Parentage Act

Professor Courtney Joslin submitted testimony in support of a bill to update Massachusetts’ parentage statutes. The testimony was submitted in advance of a Nov. 9 bill hearing before the Massachusetts Legislature’s Joint Committee on the Judiciary. 

The bill -- the Massachusetts Parentage Act -- is modeled on the Uniform Parentage Act of 2017. Joslin served as the Reporter (drafter) for the 2017 act. 

Professor Joslin is a scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples.
