Professor Joslin speaks at annual meeting of International Society of Family Law

Professor Courtney Joslin appeared on two panels April 28 at the North American Regional Conference for the International Society of Family Law.  The theme of the conference, held at the University of Minnesota Law School, was “Inequality and the Future of Family Law.”

During the panel discussion “The Law and the Status of Cohabitation,” Professor Joslin and other scholars addressed the rights of unmarried cohabitants. Joslin also was part of the “The Future of Parentage” panel, which focused on parentage and probate laws, and reform efforts aimed at better aligning them to today’s families.

Professor Joslin is a scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples.
