Professor Joslin Participates in Uniform Law Commission Drafting Committee
Professor Courtney Joslin served as a liaison for the American Bar Association Section on Individual Rights and Responsibilities at a meeting of the Uniform Law Commission (ULC) committee working to draft an act concerning the rights of non-parents to custody and visitation of children. Joslin served as an observer at the meeting, which was held in Washington, D.C. on March 27-28. Justice Craig Stowers '85 of the Alaska Supreme Court, was also present as a commissioner on the project.
Professor Joslin is a scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples.
