Professor Joslin Appointed as Reporter for Uniform Law Commission Parentage Act Committee

Professor Courtney Joslin has been appointed to serve as Reporter for the Uniform Law Commission Parentage Act Committee, which is working to recommend revisions to the Uniform Parentage Act in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Obergefell v. Hodges. The Uniform Law Commission seeks to provide states with non-partisan, well-conceived, and well-drafted legislation that brings clarity and stability to critical areas of state statutory law.

Professor Joslin is a scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples.
