Professor Jorjani Nominated for 'Top 20 Under 40' List

Professor Raha Jorjani has been nominated by the South Asian Bar Association of Northern California (SABA-NC) to be part of the prestigious ‘Top 20 Under 40' list compiled each year by the Daily Journal to highlight "rising stars in the California legal profession" who have accomplished remarkable feats early in their careers. 

SABA-NC President Kiran Jain wrote to the Daily Journal to nominate Professor Jorjani, stating that her "work has made a significant impact on the lives of a number of immigrants who, without her zealous advocacy, faced the prospect of being forcibly removed from the U.S., where they have spent the majority of their lives and where their families - in some cases, young children - continue to reside." 

The ‘Top 20 Under 40' list will be announced in the Daily Journal on January 13, 2010.
