Professor Johns Appointed to Judicial Council of California Advisory Committee

Professor Margaret Johns has been appointed to serve on the Judicial Council of California's Advisory Committee on Civil Jury Instructions by Chief Justice of California Tani Cantil-Sakauye '84.

Members of the Judicial Council advisory committees work to ensure equal access to justice, provide leadership in the administration of justice, and make decisions in the best interests of the public and the court system as a whole. The Advisory Committee on Civil Jury Instructions is charged with regularly reviewing case law and statutes affecting jury instructions and making recommendations for updating, amending, and adding topics to the council's civil jury instructions. Appointments are for one year, with the potential for renewal.

Margaret Johns is a Senior Lecturer with the UC Davis School of Law with a special interest in torts and civil rights.
