Professor Joh Talks to N.Y. Times, Bee About SFPD's Potentially Lethal Use of Robots
Professor Elizabeth Joh spoke to the New York Times for a Nov. 30 story on San Francisco supervisors moving forward on a plan to allow police to use robots to deploy lethal force.
On Dec. 1, Joh spoke about the Times story on the program Tova on New Zealand’s Today FM radio station. Joh also spoke to the Sacramento Bee for a Dec. 3 story on the prospect of lethal San Francisco police robots.
Professor Joh's scholarship focuses on criminal law and procedure, with a special emphasis on the police use of new technologies. She is the recipient of King Hall’s 2017 Distinguished Teaching Award.
