Professor Joh Joins Amicus in California Supreme Court DNA Collection Case

Professor Elizabeth Joh joined an amicus brief filed by the Electronic Frontier Foundation in People v. Buza, a challenge to California's arrestee DNA collection law currently before the California Supreme Court.  The brief relies heavily on data collected by Professor Joh in her forthcoming article "The Myth of Arrestee DNA Expungement" in the University of Pennsylvania Law Review online.  The amicus brief argues that "excessive DNA collection poses very real threats to liberty."

Professor Joh's scholarship focuses on policing, surveillance, big data, and privacy.
